Overview
The 2 day NCCER Basic Rigging Training Course will prepare students who currently work in, or are about to work in, rigging operations. This entry level class will cover topics such as common sling hitch types, load charts and how to perform a pre-use inspection.
At the end of the course students will take the NCCER written and practical examinations.

Students will take part in various exercises and activities designed to give them an understanding of rigging principles.

This NCCER Basic Rigging Course will cover the following topics:
- Checking rigging
- Attaching rigging
- Personal fall protection methods
- Types of rigging hardware
- Emergency procedures
- Load configurations and positioning
- Basic knowledge of hitch configurations, capacities and knots
- Recognize hazards and know how to avoid them
- Signal operations
Assessment
The NCCER Certified Basic Rigger written and practical exams must be taken and successfully passed to receive certification.
Students will be awarded with the NCCER Gold Card and verified in the NCCER Regsitry.
Who Should Attend?
Personnel who either currently works in, or is about to work in, basic rigging operations and wish to obtain a recognized certification to perform activities competently and safely.
